What we treat

Mouth Breathing

Chronic breathing through the mouth rather than the nose, leading to dry mouth, poor sleep, and altered facial development.

Tongue Thrust

An atypical swallowing pattern where the tongue pushes against or between the teeth, often causing orthodontic relapse.

Sleep Apnea & Snoring

Complementary therapy to strengthen airway muscles, supporting CPAP use and reducing mild to moderate snoring.

TMJ & Jaw Pain

Alleviating chronic clenching, grinding, and temporomandibular joint discomfort through proper oral resting posture.

Orthodontic Relapse

Preventing teeth from shifting back after braces by correcting the muscular forces (like the tongue) acting on them.

Lip Tie & Tongue Tie

Pre and post-operative therapy for frenectomy procedures to ensure optimal healing and functional movement.

How the program works

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. We move at your pace, building strength, awareness, and habit over time.

1

Comprehensive Evaluation

A 60-90 minute deep dive into your medical history, symptoms, facial structure, and functional movements. We'll capture photos and measurements to establish a baseline.

2

Customized Therapy

Over 8-12 tailored sessions, you'll learn specific exercises to retrain your oral and facial muscles. Sessions are tailored to your needs and may be scheduled weekly to every 2-3 weeks.

3

Habituation &Maintenance

The goal is unconscious, automatic habit. We gradually space out sessions to ensure your new breathing and swallowing patterns are permanent.

Payment & Insurance

Payment is due at the time of service. A 3% surcharge applies to all credit card payments.

Payment

Insurance

I do not bill insurance directly. Clients are responsible for submitting claims and communicating with their insurance providers. I'm happy to provide superbills upon request.

HSA / FSA

I accept HSA and FSA card payments. It's recommended to check with your card issuer to confirm coverage for myofunctional therapy sessions.
